How to Play Forsaken Free For All
Spawn, spend stamina, land M1s, and leave fights you cannot win.
Forsaken: Free For All is a 25-player battlegrounds, not a generator horror loop. You spawn, you pick a fight or you get picked, you spend stamina, you land M1s and abilities, you die, you come back. This page is the round loop: what happens after you load in, how stamina gates every chase, when an M1 is the right button, how targeting works in a crowd, when to reset, and what actually counts as a kill.
If you have not joined a public server yet, start on Getting Started. If the HUD buttons are the problem, open Controls in another tab. This page assumes you can move, sprint, and swing. The rest of the guides hub is optional until you have died a few times.
The round loop
You join a 25-player instance, pick a sentinel or a killer, and spawn. Nearby players are threats, not teammates, unless they choose to peel. You take a fight, third-party a fight, or get collapsed on. You win, you reset, or you die and come back. There is no hook stage and no generator. Repeat until you leave, the server empties, or you swap to hangout mode. Some nights the lobby is clustered 1v1s; some nights it is a mosh pit. Pick the version you can win.
Spawn
Spawn is the most expensive five seconds of a life. Do not sprint in a straight line toward the first nametag. Scan:
- How many people can see you right now?
- Is there a wall, a stair, or a roof you can put your back to?
- Is someone already mid-animation on a victim you can steal?
High ground and doorways are covered on the maps guide. On spawn you only need one idea: do not be the first body in an open field. If two fighters are already trading, you can walk up on your own terms. If five people are looking at the same courtyard, take a side path.
Camera matters as much as the spawn point. Shift Lock (PC) or a locked camera (mobile) lets you swing while moving. A free camera is fine for sightseeing in hangout and a liability in FFA.
Stamina
Sprint is not a travel emote. Stamina lets you enter a fight, leave a fight, and fake a leave. Dumping the bar to cross the map makes you a free M1. Keep enough to disengage once. Sprint in bursts. Walk when nobody is looking. Do not run straight at John Doe, Noli, or C00lKidd. After a kill, do not empty the bar celebrating; the next player is already pathing to you. Trust the HUD bar, not a remembered number from horror Forsaken.
M1 versus abilities
M1 is your left-click (or the on-screen attack button): the basic swing that wins most FFA fights. Abilities are the kit tools on the HUD — stuns, dashes, projectiles, summons, area denial, depending on whether you queued a sentinel or a killer.
Use M1 when you are in range, finishing a low target, or your abilities would whiff in a crowd. Use an ability when you need a stun, a block, or a dash to make that M1 possible, or when two people stacked on the same tile. Whiffing a long animation in a 25-player lobby is how highlight reels get made — on you. If you do not know the startup, throw the move at the air in hangout. The tier list is useless until you know which buttons are commitments.
Targeting
FFA targeting is a social skill. Look at who is already occupied:
- A player mid-combo on someone else has worse camera discipline. That is your opening. The kill guide is built around this.
- A player staring at you with full stamina wants the 1v1. You can take it or you can walk. Both are allowed.
- A clump of three “teammates” is not a team. They will swing you the moment you look useful, and they will body-block each other when a killer uses an area tool.
Do not lock your camera on the first nametag and ignore footsteps. The third party is the real killer in this game.
When to reset
Reset means you stop swinging, spend stamina to leave, and live. Reset when:
- Two people look at you and you only have M1s left.
- You won a fight and a third player is already in dash range.
- Your stamina is empty in the open.
- You spawned into a named killstreak clip and you are not the one holding the streak.
Resetting is not throwing. Dying with no information is throwing. If you are practicing a kit, die on purpose in hangout, not in a public badge lobby.
Some players “reset” by leaving the server. That is fine when the lobby is a pre-made pile. It is a waste when you just need to spawn on the other side of the map.
FFA chaos versus a 1v1
A clean 1v1 is how you learn a kit. FFA is how you cash that kit in. In a courtyard you often spend the ability to create a 1v1, then M1 the isolated player. Scoring a kill means you dealt the last hit the server accepts. If you want isolated duels, drag people to a side room, or use a private server knowing some badges care whether it was public. Check the badge tracker before you assume a private farm counts. Then go get the first ten kills.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Forsaken Free For All on Roblox.
What is the actual objective in a round?
Fight other players on the map. There are no generators or hooks. Kills, streaks, and badges are the progression. See How to Get Kills and killstreaks.
Should I always take the first fight I see?
No. Spawn, check how many people can see you, and keep stamina to leave. The maps guide helps you pick a better first path.
When do I use abilities instead of M1?
Use abilities to start or escape a trade. Use M1 to finish. Practice the animation in hangout mode if you keep whiffing in public.
Is resetting considered throwing?
No. Leaving a 1v2 with empty stamina is how you stay in the lobby long enough to learn. Getting Started covers the first-session version of this.
Do private server kills count the same as public kills?
Not always, especially for named streak badges. Confirm on the badge tracker and killstreaks page before you farm a private lobby.
Where can I see my inputs while I learn the loop?
The controls page lists PC, mobile, and console. Keep that tab open during your first public session.
